 What is BYP?

Berkshire Young Professionals has been designed to address the challenges of forming connections for the next generation. BYP works to provide young professionals with opportunities personally, professionally, and within the community. The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce is proud to support and encourage the advancement of BYP to its members and the business community.

The group name refers to "young" because the organization focuses on connecting individuals between the ages of 21 to 40. Many people feel they are too "old" to attend Berkshire Young Professional events, but in reality there is no age limit.

Why should I become a member cardholder?

  • FREE access to our monthly Networking Socials (non-members pay $5 for entrance.)
  • FREE or reduced cost to BYP Special Events
  • Discounts at participating local businesses, just by showing your BYP Membership Card!

On Thursday, March 12, 2015 join BYP for a night of social networking at the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) campus in Great Barrington.

While the campus was originally located in Cambridge, MA, at the end of World War II, founder Edward C. Harwood relocated to a 1920’s Cotswold cottage-style manor in Great Barrington, MA, where it remains today.

BYPers are invited to tour the beautiful space, socialize with one another, and hear a bit about the important economic research that is conducted for the US economy right here #intheBerkshires. This research and critical analysis provides people with expert advice and insight they can use to improve their lives and communities.
