PITTSFIELD, MA— The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce will hold the 4th Annual Buy in the Berkshires Expo at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. The Expo will begin with Business-to-Business networking for exhibitors from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and open its door to the public from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
New to the event this year is our partnership with Berkshire Creative. The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce and Berkshire Creative will hold their popular monthly after-hours programs in conjunction with the expo to increase the networking opportunities available at this venue. The Berkshire Chamber will hold its June Chamber Nite 5:00-7:00 PM, while Berkshire Creative’s SPARK! event will be 5:30 – 8:00 PM, both at the Buy in the Berkshires Expo.
The Buy in the Berkshires Expo is rooted in the realization that it's more important than ever to support the businesses that call Berkshire County home, especially in this current economic climate. By supporting businesses in the Berkshires, you are helping to preserve the character and spirit of our region.
The Buy in the Berkshires Expo is an opportunity to bring together businesses from in and around the County to connect at a business-to-business marketplace where they can strategize and develop partnerships and collaborations. Businesses can choose from indoor or outdoor exhibit spaces with either six or eight foot tables. Exhibit and sponsor information is available online at www.berkshirechamber.com.
"The Buy in the Berkshires program is working; we have seen positive retail growth, but it is critical that both businesses and residents continue to support their regional enterprises,” said Berkshire Chamber President & CEO, Michael Supranowicz. “At the Expo, businesses will really have a chance to connect with consumers. And, it is our hope that before people shop for goods and services, that they will consider the positive impact of spending those dollars in Berkshire County.”
For residents, the Expo is a free event with food, fun and a chance to discover all the great things to do, see and buy right here in the Berkshires. And, as a sponsor of the event, Jiminy Peak is offering free ride tickets to their Mountain Adventure Park to all attendees, between 5:00 and 7:00 PM.
