PITTSFIELD, MA - The Berkshire Young Professionals (BYP), a program of the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its new chair and vice chair for the 2010 Steering Committee, Amanda Rae Busch and Patrick Ingoldsby, respectively.

Busch, a native of Pittsfield, is senior editor of Berkshire Living, writing feature and departmental articles on food, wellness, lifestyle, culture, and personalities. She earned a dual degree in magazine journalism and psychology from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 2004.

Ingoldsby is an account executive with Berkshire Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Berkshire Bank. A graduate of St. Michael’s College in Vermont, he moved to the Berkshires in 2003. Originally from Hingham, MA, Ingoldsby currently resides in Cheshire with his wife, Christie and their 1 year old son, Braden.

“On behalf of the Berkshire Chamber, we are thrilled that both Amanda and Pat have been elected to lead the BYP Steering Committee,” said Michael Supranowicz, President & CEO of the Chamber. “The Chamber recognizes and appreciates the role BYP plays in developing programs and activities that facilitate professional relationships, social interactions and community involvement for young professionals living and working in the Berkshires.”

In addition to chair of the steering committee, Busch will represent BYP as a voting member on the Berkshire Chamber’s board of directors, a group that is comprised of business and community leaders from throughout the region.

Members elected to the BYP Steering Committee for three-year terms beginning in January include Alfred “Alf” E. Barbalunga of Massachusetts Probation Services, Lauren Cimini of Country Curtains, Ashley Collins of Hillcrest Educational Centers, Brad Felix of Greylock Federal Credit Union, and Eric Vincelette of Primerica Financial Services.
